Turn waste plastic into reusable filament.
I decided to build a test rig for recycling waste 3D prints into reusable filament. This was my senior project for my Mechanical Engineering degree where I hoped to integrate my electromechanical knowledge with my expertise in 3D printing. The rig was designed to understand the proper temperatures and speeds required for various filament materials including PLA, ABS, and PET.
